Forget about the reasons

Today, Seek Up, by Dave Matthews Band, is my inspiration.

Sometimes I feel like I'm falling
Fall back again, fall back again,
Fall back again, fall back again

Oh, life it seems a struggle between
what we see and what we do
Well I'm not going to change my ways
just to please you or appease you
Inside a crowd, five billion proud
willing to punch it out
Right, wrong, weak, strong
ashes to ashes all fall down
Look around about this round about
this merry-go-round and around
Well If at all God's gaze upon us falls
it's with a mischievous grin, look at him

Forget about the reasons and
the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that
our emotions can be swept away
Forget about being guilty
we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Late at night with TV's hungry child
his belly swells
Well, for the price of a coke or a smoke
I could keep alive those hungry eyes
Man, take a look again, take a look again
Eveyday things change
Basically they stay the same

Forget about the reasons and
the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that
our emotions can be kept at bay
Forget about being guilty
we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

You seek up an emotion
and your cup is overflowing
You seek up on emotion,
sometimes your well is dry
You seek up a big monster
for him to fight your wars for you
But when he finds his way to you, the devil's not
going, "Ha ha, ha ha"

(Say, oh say)

Oh look at me in my fancy car
and my bank account
Oh, how I wish I could take it all down
into my grave, God knows I'd save and save
Man, take a look again, take a look again
things you have collected, well in the end piles up
to one big nothing, one big nothing at all

Forget about the reasons and
the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that
our emotions can be swept away
Intentions are not wicked, don't be tricked into thinking so
And soon we will all find our lives swept away

You seek up an emotion
and your cup is overflowing
You seek up an emotion,
sometimes your well is dry
You seek up a big monster
for him to fight your wars for you
But when he finds his way to you, the devil's not
going, "Ha ha, ha ha"

Fall back again, fall back again
Fall back again, fall back again

BajoLICIOUSfondo!

So what does it take for me to melt? To be down on my knees? To feel every single hair move on my body?

I have long ago found a combination that never lets me down:
TANGO * ELECTRONICA *
HIP-HOP

This time all of that mentioned above was to be assembled in Bajofondo's Mar dulce.

For heaven's sake!!! What is it in a sound like that, that makes me feel like melting, inch by inch, feeling my soul slid of my body and end up on the floor? Exhausted. Dripping. Once again I cannot do anything else but raise my hands and let go. Let the rhythms move me, let my soul escape.

I haven't finished my Bajofondo SESSION yet, but so far, what undresses my body in moments, what makes me moisten my lips, what makes me breath heavily is

01 Grand Guignol

05 Pa' bailar

06 Pulmón

08 El mareo

09 El andén (Excellent hip-hop vibes!!)

And this has just started.

I have found my lover - and what a lover that is! I will feel like cheating if I dare to let my body be moved by someone else.

I drink my wine

I drink my wine --
It colours my lips dark red
If you'd see me now
Would you think
"Those lips are coloured for me"
Would you like to taste the wine
from them?

I drink my wine --
It makes my blood rush and heats my cheeks
If you'd see me now
Would you think
"Those cheeks are blushing for me"
Wouldn't you love to feel that heat
on your skin?

I drink my wine --
It brings memories to mind
If you'd see me now
Would you think
"She never moves on"
Would you tell me to start moving

on?

I drink my wine --
The red of my lips makes me smile
My rushing blood makes me feel alive
My memories --
Well, I drink my wine.

WWW or What to Wear at a Wedding

I love being a woman. In comparsion with the option of being a man.

Don't get me wrong. I envy men in many ways.

1) Body hair
Trying to imagine them being hot and not embarrassing.

2) Wrinkles
When on men they shout "life experience", on women it's more like "She lost it.."

3) Shoes
We've got pretty good ones, but boy do you men got nice shoes. In my next life I'll buy them all, if male, instead of just admireing them from a distance.

Trying not to get too far from the point.

And the point is. When it comes to dressing up for a wedding, I am happy I am a woman. I got two invitations this summer. And as a woman I have some options.

A. Romantic
The romantic style is never wrong at a wedding. But it's not me. Next!

B. Sophisticated
That is a dangerous card to use. It is close to being boring. If you pull it off, it might be fab. Otherwise..

C. Sexy
One of my favourites. Be aware, though, be careful not to let it slide into the next category. Comes in handy when there are women to confront or men to flirt with.

D. The wedding slut
All women have the right to be one, if you ask me. There is always one that has a skirt too short or just left a very useful bra at home.

E. Overdressed
Always a bad thing. It might help saying you just came straight from another, posher party. If even a bit concerned, take something more modest to change into with you. Just in case.

So what to go for? I have a combination I love - B + C. It's tested and it does work.

Black satin, thin white stripes, red belt, a hint of glimmer on the lips, the perfect nails, the short hair, the high heals. Could be a killer.

Just got home from a night out with my little bro. Ah - loved it. The best company one can find. Am I lucky or what?!

There were enough tears to drown in

I ran my hand through your hair
Twining it around my fingers
'Cos I knew the scent would soothe me
When later you'd be gone--

There were enough tears to drown in
But still happiness filled our eyes
With a sparkle we knew
from years before.

We always were as strange, I thought
What held us together also tore us apart.
The signs I'd read in your eyes, days ago
I had no option, but to let you go.

As I heard the door close behind you
My knees bent by force
The sparkle was fading
The happiness was gone.

What was left was the scent of your hair
I held my hand to my nose and I left it there.
I knew the decision was mine
and I was the one to make you leave.

Still - as I heard the door close behind
I knew it was wrong, what I did.
So strong I was - driving you away
as it left me crying for another day.

I wanted to shout
"Come back, I beg you -
It's not always easy to explain the things I do".
But I was weak and you were strong
I made you leave and you weren't to come home.

Maybe one day
We'll stroll along the water
And the sun will make it glimmer
and dance in our eyes.
Maybe then we'll understand
The sparkle that was there
Right from the start, to stay through life.

So what's so special with some sparks?

We blushed

We gave it our all
Like there would be no tomorrow
Wasting all that energy
Building up from pure frustration
And with the sun burning
We blushed
We blushed
We blushed
Thinking for a while
It was the sun burning on our cheeks.

Kind of like burning money
Because both of us knew
This would never pay off
Still we felt like
The money was well spent.

And above us
The blue sky
Like on any other day.
Beneath us

The green grass
Drawing a secret map on our backs.

So many things changed
And still everything was the same
Still we knew
Tomorrow all said would form a blank page.
And with the sun no longer burning
We blushed
We blushed
We blushed
Thinking for a while
We were supposed to.

You make me dance you make me cry

Jason, Jason - What you do to me..

So I got home after too many hours of work, and what I thought would make me smile tomorrow, made me smile today: Jason's new CD was delivered. And I thought it would be fabulous. But it's beyond that fabulous. I cannot find the words to describe it.

However - I can find the words for what it does to me.

It makes me dance and it makes me cry. It makes me smile and it makes me not want to sit still. It makes me wanna write poetry.

'Coz Jason Mraz knows how to put his words. How to dig in under my skin and place his voice where it'll make me feel the most. I have a lump in my throat and I don't know whether it's there because I'm happy, sad or just moved and touched. All over.

I usually give you my favourites, but not this time. There is not a single song on that album I'd give away. I can tell you, though, that Butterfly makes me dance samba. Coyotes makes me gasp - it's a masterpiece. Lucky with Colbie Caillat is a happy tune, Love for a Child makes me sad.

I'm telling you. There's something that puts this CD on the top of my list.
